I´ll be showing two inedit photographs and my books will be on display as well.
Voy a exhibir dos fotografias ineditas en la exposicion UNLOCKED, que se inagura el proximo dia 28 de Mayo. Una gran oportunida que no podia desaprovechar en este breve periodo en Inglaterra.
Ademas de las fotografias, mis dos libros tambien estaran expuestos.

A woman’s voice that unfolds and multiplies, describing objects and actions of everyday life of women. Addressing all those actions that are assigned to the female gender, the discourse created from a neutral voice (from a CD of self-learning Dutch), it turns into a collective testimony.
I am the woman with hungry
Red apples
Bread.Flesh. Fruit
The table is a piece of furniture
I am tired
There are too many things to count
The woman
The woman goes to do the shopping
The woman is by his man
Occasionally SHE describes herself physically.
I have long hair
I have my eyes closed
I have four arms
In contrast, a text on screen, a piece of a feminist manifesto that speaks about the development in the struggle of women for emancipation from male sovereignty.
Dutch has been the language that I had to learn to persist in my attempt to gain independence in a country completely strange to me. Despite the lapse of time since that attempt failed, sometimes I still find my self amazed because I keep thinking and dreaming in that language. A language I learnt in the basics of everyday life and is the only parameter in which I can get by. Like, the first thing one learns when one is little, little by little, is to dominate the daily femenine sphere.
Este es el retrato de una mujer
Una voz de mujer que se despliega y multiplica, describe objetos y acciones cotidianas de la vida de la mujer. Pronuncia un discurso sobre todas esas acciones que le son asignadas al genero femenino; el discurso creado desde una voz neutra, (extraída de un CD de autoaprendizaje de Holandés), se transforma en un testimonio colectivo.
Soy la mujer que tiene hambre
Manzanas rojas
Pan.Carne.Fruta
La mesa es un mueble.
Estoy cansada.
Hay demasiadas cosas que contar
La mujer
La mujer va a la compra
la mujer esta al lado de su marido
Ocasionalmente se describe físicamente a si misma.
Tengo el pelo largo
Tengo los ojos cerrados
Tengo cuatro brazos
En contraste aparece un texto en pantalla, un fragmento de un manifiesto feminista que habla del desarrollo en la lucha de la mujer por emanciparse de la soberanía masculina.
El Holandés ha sido el idioma que he tenido que aprender para persistir en mi intento de independizarme en un país completamente ajeno al mío. Y a pesar de haber transcurrido, ya un tiempo desde que aquel intento fracaso, sigue permaneciendo y en ocasiones me sorprendo pensando o soñando en este idioma. Idioma que aprendí con las nociones básicas del entorno cotidiano y que es el único parámetro dentro del cual me puedo desenvolver. Al igual, que lo primero que se aprende cuando una es pequeña, poco a poco, es a dominar el espacio cotidiano femenino.

lo ultimo que se pierde es la esperanza
•julio 23, 2008 • Dejar un comentarioDespues de contactar con antiguos compañeros de holanda, numerosas llamadas, miles de emails, por fin… un año despues. He recuperado mi masterpiece, de mi estancia en la KABK (Koninklijke Academie van Beeldende Kunsten). Entre las cosas que no recupere, se encuentra el negativo de esta cianotipia, por lo que es una obra unica e irrepetible.
